Technofas 3000 – Facade Waterproofing Case Study

Client: Clarens Field, Medine, 2024

The office spaces located in Medine were facing recurring issues:
a) Water infiltration at several levels during rainfall
b) Rapid deterioration of wall coatings

These problems were compromising both the appearance and durability of the paint finishes.

Key Issues Identified

1. Presence of microcracks (less than 200 microns) as well as larger cracks (between 200 and 2000 microns)

2. Untreated critical junctions such as parapets, window edges, and concrete/block joints

3. Water infiltration due to faulty roof waterproofing (before/after photos if available)

Our Solution

To address these challenges, the PND team referred to DTU 42.1, “Refurbishment of Building Facades in Service”, and proposed the use of Technofas 3000—a semi-thick, flexible coating known for its proven performance in similar scenarios.

✅ Repairs to infiltration points, including certain joint welds
✅ Reinforced I4-level treatments around parapets and window surrounds
✅ Application of Technofas 3000 in a velvety I3 finish on facades

The result: a completely waterproof exterior, resistant to weather conditions and UV exposure.

Outcome

Long-lasting protection, backed by warranties.
